'' Taking approximately 18 months to complete, the online degree completion program in dental hygiene builds on the knowledge students have already acquired in a certificate or associate program. There are no "clinicals" in the traditional sense. Students are prepared with knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for a wide range of employment opportunities and a foundation for graduate study. A bachelor’s of science degree in dental hygiene provides career flexibility and career mobility, as well as personal reward for those who enjoy working with people. Graduates find employment in a variety of settings including education, oral health promotion, research, community health, management, and marketing.
