Course Description:

'' The Master’s Certificate in Government Contracting is a dynamic program, designed to train participants in both the fundamentals and higher- level skills required in the multi-faceted field of Government Contracting. The instruction is applications oriented and covers a broad range of topics particularly focusing on the entire lifecycle of government contracts including; the basics of Federal and Commercial Items/Buying, issuance of the RFP, evaluation of the proposal, contract award, implementation, maintenance & operations, terminations and closeout.

The program requires each participant to complete six required courses and two electives for a total of 62 three and one half hour class sessions. Classes generally meet twice a week and students can expect to put in approximately two hours of outside preparation for each hour spent in class.

The program requires significant amounts of homework. However, a majority of the students are employed full time and find the program quite manageable albeit challenging. Students tell us they find it helps them function more successfully at their jobs because they understand why they do what they do.
