'' Most managers and executives come into their positions with a background other than finance and accounting. This certificate program was developed to provide those managers and executives with an understanding of the fundamentals of accounting, economics, and finance. All organizations, regardless of the products or services they provide, have a most important common denominator - money.
The financial management of an organization plays a huge role in its success or failure. Setting and meeting goals and strategic planning requires managers at all levels to understand and successfully use budgeting, cost accounting, and other critical financial management techniques.
Managers and executives who attend the Finance and Accounting for Non-Financial Managers Certificate Program will learn to incorporate state-of-the-art financial management practices into their departments or organizations. They’ll better understand the big picture as it relates to the total organizations. And, by learning the language of business, they will make better decisions as well as work more effectively with the accounting and finance staff of their organization.
