'' This course would suit students who wish to pursue a career in Performing Arts and to achieve progression to a higher level course.
What will I study?
Core Units:
•Business •Production Process (Lighting, Sound and Stage Management) •Acting •Musical Theatre •Understanding Drama •Performing scripted plays
The units will cover performing arts skills, naturalistic acting, musical movement,singing and the history of theatre. The business unit will look at what other jobs are available in the theatre and how theatrical productions are funded, budgeted and marketed.
The course is comprised of 50% written work and 50% practical work. You will be expected to take a proactive approach and be available for evening and weekend performances and out of College visits.
You will also study key skills and re-take GCSE English or Maths if appropriate. ...''
