'' This 4-day subject is designed for individuals responsible for confined space rescue within professional rescue services, municipal utilities, public works, and related industries. The use of hauls and anchors, and belay systems in cramped dark environments are discussed and practiced.
Covered: Day One: Explanation of equipment use and strengths. Anchor Selection and construction. Team safety. Edge safety. Various belay techniques. Various rappel techniques. Day Two: Advanced Anchoring techniques. Tying off a belay in tandem and solo. Tying off a rappel device. Mock situation tests. Rope ascending techniques. Day Three: Haul Systems. Rope System Redirection. Rescuer positioning. Day Four: Confined Space Victim Packaging. Mock situation test.
