The Zone was founded in Singapore by MBA alumni who understood the key to scoring well on the GMAT while balancing study time with full time work commitments. All our trainers have scored highly on the GMAT, GRE and the SAT in fact other standardised tests. Our approach is to treat each client as an individual, whether working in a group, or class environment. Our materials are designed to enable students to grasp concepts that the GMAT. GRE and SAT tests in straightforward fashion. We understand that success in the these tests is a holistic effort, with a combination of 4 factors : Skills, Mental Map, Time Management and Confidence. Our trainers specialise in different areas
Standard class:
We offer a standard classroom course (8 sessions + full length tests) which is held over 6 weeks. We cover the whole GMAT format and question types, plus full access to our online practice platform with hundreds of timed questions. Typical class sizes is under 8 students.
Materials:
We give each student the Official Guide practice book with 800 questions and answers to keep, as well as loan access to other standard textbooks and exams. Our online practice platform has hundreds of questions of all types, and we are currently adding another 500 to the tally. These questions are typically more difficult than the official Guide questions which are good exam standard. Mastering hard questions are key to scoring high. We have created our own "cheat sheets" to the verbal and quantitative underlying concepts, essentially a quick reference to the things you need to practice and master. Each class has notes made for it and handed out.
Trainers :
There are currently 6 trainers (Singapore) and two in Malaysia, each one focuses purely on Math or Verbal. The course has been designed by myself (GMAT 720) and another (GMAT 770) trainer who have MBAs from INSEAD.
