Describe the position of the Cisco ONS 15454 ML-Series cards in the data and telephony network. Specify a network configuration for multi-layer Ethernet services using the ONS 15454based on a given set of requirements. Specify equipment and connections at the network and node levels per application. Identify the components and equipment that comprise Cisco Metro Ethernet. Describe the Metro Ethernet deployment alternatives and list differences between them. Describe the positioning of the ML-Series within the Cisco Metro Ethernet network Describe Ethernet Wire Service (EWS). Specify EWS configuration and connections at the networkand node levels. Specify a network configuration for multi-layer Ethernet services using the ONS 15454 based on a given set of requirements. Specify equipment and connections at the network and node levels per application. Course Content The Cisco ONS 15454 ML-Series Metro Optical Ethernet Training is a four-day class providing instructor-led training that enables the student to learn how to operate and use the multiservice data transport functions of the Cisco ONS 15454. Through classroom instruction and hands-on training in small groups, students complete a wide range of tasks covering Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 functions as well as the features and functions of the ONS 15454 system. Lab exercises rely on the Cisco ONS 15454 Procedure Guide, Release 7.0, and the Ethernet Card Software Feature and Configuration Guide for the Cisco ONS 15454, Cisco ONS 15454 SDH, and Cisco ONS 15327, Release 7.0 references to specific procedures. The lab designs are based on the use of six ONS 15454 nodes.
