'' This course has been designed to cover the wide variety of tasks required in a medical office as well as basic medical terminology and anatomy and physiology, which relates to basic medical tests and procedures. Other information gained will include ethics, privacy and health and occupational safety issues.

Course Rationale/ Objectives:
‿Understand the workings of a medical practice
‿Develop customer service skills in a medical environment
‿Maintain medical records
‿Gain an understanding of Medicare Bulk Billing
‿Deal with medical accounts and banking
‿Develop a basic understanding of medical terminology
‿Develop a basic understanding of anatomy and physiology relating to diseases, medical tests and procedures
