Course Description:
'' Learn the basic skills to give a relaxing back and leg massage for your friends and family. You will gain new skills in massage technique, correct posture and various strokes for the back of the body. Introduction to Massage can be taken as a stand-alone short course or as the pre-requisite for the Diploma of Remedial Massage.
Course Rationale The course is intended to be fun and informative with a focus on student participation.
Target Market The target market is adult learners with an interest in learning practical massage techniques and those wishing to apply for the Diploma in Remedial Massage who have not completed an introductory course elsewhere.
Prerequisites No pre-requisites
Course Structure Three sessions x four hours with a short break in the middle of the class. Students will have the opportunity to observe the massage techniques demonstrated by the teacher and then practice on their fellow students. There will be very little theory and minimal notes may be given. ...''
