'' This program examines the major components of information technology–the internet, databases and programming–and provides a foundation to design and build interactive, information-rich web sites with underlying databases.
Courses focus on designing and building a web interface, creating interactive web documents, developing and managing content on the web, and understanding the server environment and architecture of data-driven web applications. Basic programming skills are provided to design and deploy internet solutions for common business goals and web projects.
Participants will learn:
How to approach Web design and organization of Website content
Fundamental constructs that unite all scripting languages, with a focus on the application of JavaScript for the creation of interactive web documents
How to apply Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and XSL to the formatting and design of web pages
Concepts and skills to design and build databases for web applications
How to use XML as an alternative data storage technology
How to integrate data in a Website using MySQL and PHP technologies
How to integrate server-side programming, database technologies and client-side scripting to create dynamic web applications
