Course Description:
'' The Festivals, Community, and Special Events Certificate is designed to assist individuals in planning and development of community based events that are created for tourism and economic development. The individual will learn about event programming, risk management, tourism planning, and the steps to conducting organized events on a community scale. Local communities’ governmental, non-profit, and commercial businesses come together to provide events that benefit the region both economically and socially.
Admissions Requirements
Any person who is admitted to a university degree program or the University Center for Extended Learning is welcome to see the attainment of this certificate. You must present evidence of graduation from high school with a 2.0 grade point average.
Graduation Requirements
A Ferris student will receive this certificate after completion of the requirements for the certificate with a minimum 2.0 grade point average in certificat courses. Individuals who complete all four courses will have completed 6 credit hours in the Bachelor’s in Recreation Leadership and Management degree at Ferris State University. ...''
