'' Discover how a screenplay is created�from story idea to outline, treatment and draft stages. This eight-week course will introduce you to the art and craft of writing for visual media, particularly film and television. Learn the pillars on which a successful screenplay is built, and apply them in developing your own script for a short film as we work through the industry-standard stages of pitch, outline, treatment and full draft. Our last class will be held at FAVA, Edmonton’s venerable and brilliant film co-op, where you will find more resources to produce your project. Leave the course with a solid foundation for a shooting script, and access to tools to help bring your screen dream to life. This course is co-sponsored with the Film and Video Society-Alberta (FAVA)
