Course Description:

'' Focus on the most common punctuation marks and rules governing their usage. Ample opportunity will be given to apply the rules in exercises. We will cover basics of punctuating clauses: sentence patterns; commas: in series, after introductions, commas vs. semicolons in compound sentences; commas with essential and non-essential clauses; apostrophes. Other punctuation such as colon, semicolon, hyphen, parentheses, period, dash, quotation marks and italics will also be addressed.
