VFR Over the Top Rating

The Pacific Flying Club offers a VFR Over the Top Endorsement course. A Private Pilot Licence is required. An applicant for a VFR OTT rating shall complete a minimum of 15 hours dual instrument time of which a maximum of 5 hours may be instrument ground time. Students must hold a Commercial Licence and Category 1 Medical. Students are advised that the Instructor Rating requires extensive study and preparation. Students who are not prepared for each briefing will find that their costs increase if they come to briefings unprepared. The minimum requirements for a Commercial Licence are 100 hours of pilot in command time and 200 hours total flight time.
