SWATANTRA theatre has a purpose of awakening the audience to contemporary issue & creating a dialogue on prevailing social problems by staging plays of humorous ,tragic and varied socio-political interest while not losing out on mass appeal.The group since its insertion has produced many quality plays and has been entertaining the audience . Swatantra has performed at numerous venues with prestigious institute like FTII ,NDA , SYMBIOSIS etc. The group also conducts workshops for young and enthusiastic youngsters in the city which nurture young talent.
SWATANTRA is run by young members who have an accumulative experience of 4 years in theatre .The group has produced several hindi productions which include- Innovative and exclusive production value, contemporary aesthetics and unique, contemporary content have been the attributes of Each swatantra theatre production. SWATANTRA kala group a theatre group is one of the leading HINDI performers in Pune’,s theatre scenario.
