'' There are very few institutions in the Gulf Coast Region where offshore petroleum and associated industry leaders can find formal development opportunities specifically designed to help them become successful managers of environmental, health and safety programs that comply with the American Petroleum Institute Recommended Practice 75 (API-RP75) and/or other international EH&S standards. The Center for Advanced Management Programs (CAMP), University of Houston-Clear Lake offers a variety of courses tailored to the unique needs of offshore industry leaders, managers, supervisors, environmental, occupational health and safety professionals (EH&S) and others in the offshore and associated industry, both domestically and internationally. These choices include: Baseline Risk Assessment, National and International Standards Applicable to EH&S Management Systems, Integrated EH&S Management Systems and EH&S Integrated System Auditors.
The first in this series of EH&S programs is the comprehensive Baseline Risk Assessment Program, developed and presented by Offshore Petroleum Safety Association in association with the Center for Advanced Management Programs (CAMP), School of Business, University of Houston-Clear Lake.
The Baseline Risk Assessment Program is uniquely designed to help industry comply with the American Petroleum Institute Recommended Practice 75 (API-RP75) and the requirements of various other national and international requirements and standards. The course is led by the nationally and internationally known trainer and consultant, Pieter de Meyer. He’ll lay the foundation for understanding risk assessment in the offshore and associated industries, highlighting its use in operational risk management processes.
Special emphasis focuses on the terminology used in Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and its use to complement existing management structures as well as incorporating it into advanced and specific technical in the workplace risk assessment processes.
