'' wink makeup studio and academy was opened in 2007 by georgia spyra, vicki syskakis and paulina elor. all three are makeup artists with over 30 years of experience between them and over 20 years of teaching makeup. wink offers a variety of professional makeup workshops such as beginners’ workshops, editorial workshops, film, television and special effects workshops, airbrushing, bridal makeup and theatre makeup workshops. for those who want to learn the basics or just to do their own makeup better, wink also provides personal makeup workshops and lessons. we also offer a variety of hair workshops for the camera, because in today’s market, it is necessary for a makeup artist to also do hair. finally, we also offer portfolio development workshops for the artists who want to fast track their editorial makeup career. we believe that the key to a fashion/editorial makeup artist’s success is their portfolio. every agent, photographer or prospective client that a makeup artist meets, will want to see their book. the proof as they say is in the pudding. therefore, we provide the student with the opportunity toan industry worthy portfolio that will help open doors for them.
wink offers a certificate for each workshop completed. our mission is to have small, intimate classes of no more than 8 students, hands on training, field work for our students, and to provide training that exceeds industry expectations, provides the tools for success, and gives an honest perspective of what it take to make it as a makeup artist.
